A bill of sale is the document in Texas that serves to actually transfer ownership of a non-real estate item of personal property. It must be signed by the Grantor and delivered to
the Grantee, along with possession of the item to be transferred, to be fully effective. It should be notarized by a notary public, but does not need to be filed of record at the
county courthouse. In drafting a bill of sale, careful consideration must be made as to whether the item is previously encumbered by any other financing liens. The following questions
should be answered n order for us to prepare correct and enforceable documents.
